London Confidential Review
London Confidential is less of an espionage thriller; Than it is an opportunist. From the very beginning, You’ll feel that the movie is made just for the sake of getting more people to watch. London Confidential is hastily made and rashly edited. Of course, Back of their mind, they want the movie out as soon as possible, Before the India-China beef clam down.
The predictable climax and bad acting give no room to judgment. The thinking of the economy of a movie is a must. But it should determine the making of the movie. London Confidential is a poorly made film, With little to no surprises. 1 hour and 17 minutes of the movie leaves no space for character development. The movie focus on glorifying a few and leaving others into the dark.
As the movie is made during the COVID Lockdown, It is understandable that the mobilization of actors and resources might have been harder. And producers and creative heads might have to comprise on some talent. But it not acceptable to make trash; And sell it under the banner of “Cut me some slack, Because the movie was created during a global pandemic.”
The good thing about the movie, That it does not go all along bashing China. And focus on a more realistic approach of diplomats and larger geopolitical game. There is nothing confidential about this movie, That it is bad and should be avoided. Unless you have a Zee5 subscription, And 1 hour 17 minutes to kill. In that case, You can give it a try.
