Padmaavat movie review

The courage of queen Padmavati was beautifully shown in this movie. Though the bravery of Rajput kings was well known and circulate by folk stories. Similarly, the story of Jauhar of Rani Padmini (Padmavati), is well known around the Chittorgarh fort. This movie again showed the strength of women and the length up to which women can go to save their respect. The courage and valor of queen Padmavati is idealistic for all women.

As soon as the news of Rajput’s defeat reached the ears of Queen Padmavati, she along with other women present in the fort went for Jauhar. Jauhar is a ritual of self-burning or falling in the fire. This custom was followed among the Rajput queens to save their respect when their respective husbands die in war. As Queen Padmavati was well aware of the intentions of Khilji, she jumped in the pious fire of Jauhar just before Khilji could reach her. In this way, she defeated Khilji even after he won the war.

Movie Verdict

A beautifully written script and perfect portrayal of each character in this movie lead to many accolades. The beautiful set and VFX used in the war scenes were also well accepted. As each and every actor gave their best performance in their roles, mostly the madness of Khilji can be seen in the eyes of Ranveer Singh, which made the film reach the heights of the sky. So I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
