About the Movie Pati Patni Aur Woh

Just like its original version, this movie too relates to the extramarital affair but in a funny way. Mostly it tried to show the perspectives of men in marital life in a lighter sense. So here the protagonist, Abhinav Tyagi is living a monotonous life with his wife without any spice present now. At the time of marriage, they loved each other but as time passed, their love started to be hidden behind responsibilities and duties.

At that time entered Tapasya Singh into the marital life of Abhinav and Vedika. So Abhinav started to get attracted to Tapasya. And in order to stay close to her, he spins lies about problems in his marital life. By this, he gains the sympathy of Tapasya. But all hell fall on him when Tapasya and Vedika came face to face due to some reason. After clearing all the lies, both of them leave Abhinav. So the climax will be based on whom Abhinav will choose and how will he stop that person from leaving his life.

Movie trailer

The trailer is hilarious and fantastic. Just like Kartik Aryan’s other movies, his plus point has been inserted in this movie also. And the plus points are the speedy monologues of Kartik which is loved by the audiences. Also, the comic timings and the conversations of Kartik with Aparshakti will be loved by all. Those were actually hilarious comments made on the men’s point of view about marriage.

Pati, Patni Aur Woh movie review

As the movie is released recently, the reviews are coming good for this movie from all regions. Due to light and decent comic situations, it became a good entertainer for a weekend to see with the whole family. Also as per records, this movie became the highest opening Kartik Aaryan’s movie.

Casts of Pati, Patni Aur Woh

So the star cast of this movie includes the names of Bhumi Pednekar, Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Pandey and Aparshakti Khurana in the pivotal role. Thus the famous characters of Ranjeet played by Sanjeev Kumar in the original version were reprised by Kartik Aaryan in this remake. But Kartik has shown his mode of acting and not copied Sanjeev Kumar’s role.  Also the most loved character in the original version, the friend of Ranjeet, Abdul Karim Durrani was also modernized. But the spirit of friendship has been kept the same. So in this remake, the role of Asrani was reprised by Aparshakti Khurana in his style. So the freshness can be seen in all the characters.

Similarly, the characters of Sharda and Nirmala were also modernized along with their names. In this remake, the character of Ranjeet is named as Abhinav Tyagi, Nirmala as Tapasya Singh and Sharda as Vedika. The roles of Vedika and Tapasya were portrayed by Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey, respectively.

Box Office Collection Updates

If one sees the charts, the movies of Kartik Aaryan are rising on it with his movies. And this one had the highest opening in the box office weekend with about 21.43 crore INR.

Movie Verdict

All and all a perfect comic family entertainer. Though it is a remake, the actors have shown their style and their mode of acting in this movie. So the movie can be related to the present culture. Also, there is the freshness of the script. Thus it can be said as inspired by the old movie as the characters are modernized. Mostly which I liked is the actors have used their style and not copied the styles of yesteryear actors’. So I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
