This film is based on a true story of Anand Kumar, a teacher who against all odds set up a coaching institute naming as “SUPER 30” for underprivileged students to crack the Indian Institute of Technology entrance exam.
Anand is brilliant in mathematics and once gets featured in an article of the newspaper for solving some difficult math problems. After then he gets a letter from Cambridge University to come there but being a son of a postman he had no money to travel there and so they tried all ways to make money but failed. Disheartened from seeing all this Anand’s father goes into depression and dies. After his father’s demise, he started selling papads for living. The further movie tells us how Anand comes across some poor but brilliant students who are willing to study but cannot afford high coaching fees to study.
This movie is based on a true incident and showing the real picture of the education system in India and how it has become a business form for some people in our society. The content of the movie is inspiring and at some points, it gives goosebumps how the teacher triumphs over all challenges come across his way.
Lead roles and other characters performances:
Coming to acting part Hritik completely nailed his character as Anand Kumar, his acting in the film shows the audience about his hard work for completely entering into the character as a Bihari tutor. Pankaj Tripathi has done an excellent job as a local minister although he played a negative role even then you just can’t hate his character. His role as Devraj is equally evil as well as funny. Aditya Shrivastava as Lallan Singh has done again a superb job. Mrunal Thakur has done a decent role on her part. Amit Sadh also gives small appearances and he also played his role nicely.
Music and direction:
Music in this film was not up to the mark and this can be said that the movie does not hold any mesmerizing songs. The cinematography was also good and Vikas that has done a great job in direction of this movie though the movie has some flaws as a little attention is paid to the Anand’s students who are the heart of this drama. Also, its lengthy run time drags it down.
I will give four stars out of five and the final verdict is that the overall movie is a must-watch movie and if you want to see a story of an inspiring person and struggler Anand Kumar as it becomes more fascinating because it is based on a real-life story then you must go to the theater and watch this film. It’s a full family-oriented film.
